Who’ll Be Crowned Mister USA?

The road to MisterUniverse 2024 starts in Los Angeles with…MisterUSA. While the 50 contestants vying for the Mister Universe title are getting in shape, the participant from the US has yet to be named. 30+ young men will represent their home states at the Los Angeles finals to be held at the Shrine Auditorium on August 11. They come from all walks of life: actors and personal trainers, sure. But also an engineer, a registered nurse, an Air Force vet, a kinesiologist, a reality-TV star… Among them a few familiar faces: Chippendale dancer Chase Roback (Nevada) and models Levi Conely (District of Columbia) and Philip Fusco (New Hampshire). And many unfamiliar faces with bodies to lust after.

Who’ll win? Who’ll represent the US at Mister Universe? We can’t help rooting for our California man, Isaiah Smith Jr, but you can make sure your own pick makes it to the top 10. The winner of the popular vote (your vote) will be awarded 10K and, yes, a Playgirl pictorial. At the time of writing, Iowa (Keith Manecke) is ahead, followed by South Carolina (Alek Maximus).

Tips for the organizers? A 60-year-old woman will represent Buenos Aires at the Miss Universe Argentina pageant. “I’m thrilled to be representing this new paradigm in beauty pageants because we are inaugurating a new stage in which women are not only physical beauty but another set of values”, said Alejandra Rodriguez. Shouldn’t MisterUSA and MisterUniverse follow suit, eliminate age limits and champion diversity? After all, some of Playgirl’s sexiest and most popular centerfolds were in their 30s, 40s and 50s…
